یہ فیصلہ جسٹس ہاشم کاکڑ کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بینچ نے سنایا۔
سماعت کے دوران وکیل صفائی نے مؤقف اختیار کیا کہ شوہر تشدد کرتا تھا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ مجرمہ سے میکے سے پیسے منگوانے پر دباؤ ڈالا جاتا تھا۔
وکیل کے مطابق مجرمہ کے چار بچے ہیں اور وہ گھریلو مسائل کا شکار تھی۔
وکیل نے بتایا کہ آخری بار بھی جھگڑے کے دوران تشدد ہوا۔
اس کے بعد خاتون نے ردعمل میں اقدام کیا۔
پراسیکیوٹر نے کہا کہ وار سر پر لگنے سے شوہر کی موت واقع ہوئی۔
جسٹس ہاشم کاکڑ نے ریمارکس دیے کہ یہ ایک غیر معمولی نوعیت کا کیس ہے۔
عدالت نے شواہد دیکھنے کے بعد سزا کم کرنے کا فیصلہ سنایا۔
مجرمہ 2016 سے جیل میں ہے اور تقریباً 10 سال قید کاٹ چکی ہے۔
عدالت نے سزا عمر قید سے کم کر کے 14 سال قید کر دی۔
