رپورٹ کے مطابق ٹی ایم سی انچارج شاہنواز نے اسسٹنٹ کمشنر صدر ٹاؤن کے ہمراہ بریڈی اسٹریٹ، ٹانگا اسٹینڈ، پارکنگ پلازہ اور اطراف کے علاقوں میں کارروائیاں کیں جہاں عرصہ دراز سے تجاوزات مافیا نے فٹ پاتھوں، سڑکوں اور عوامی گزرگاہوں پر غیر قانونی قبضے قائم کر رکھے تھے، جس کے باعث شہریوں اور تاجروں کو شدید مشکلات کا سامنا تھا۔
انتظامیہ نے بھاری مشینری کی مدد سے غیر قانونی اسٹالز، عارضی تعمیرات، پتھارے اور مختلف رکاوٹیں ہٹا دیں جبکہ متعدد افراد کو آئندہ تجاوزات قائم نہ کرنے کی سخت وارننگ بھی جاری کی گئی۔
ٹی ایم سی انچارج شاہنواز نے میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ صدر ٹاؤن میں کسی بھی صورت تجاوزات مافیا کو برداشت نہیں کیا جائے گا اور شہریوں کی سہولت کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ میونسپل کمشنر عمار خان کی واضح ہدایات ہیں کہ ٹریفک کی روانی بحال رکھنے اور عوامی راستوں کو کلیئر رکھنے کیلئے بلاامتیاز کارروائیاں جاری رکھی جائیں۔
اسسٹنٹ کمشنر صدر ٹاؤن نے بھی واضح کیا کہ تجاوزات کے خلاف آپریشن مستقل بنیادوں پر جاری رہے گا اور اس سلسلے میں کسی قسم کا دباؤ یا سفارش قبول نہیں کی جائے گی۔
دوسری جانب علاقہ مکینوں اور تاجروں نے انتظامیہ کی کارروائی کو خوش آئند قرار دیتے ہوئے مطالبہ کیا کہ صدر کے بازاروں، تجارتی مراکز اور اہم شاہراہوں کو تجاوزات سے پاک رکھنے کیلئے ایسے آپریشنز مستقل بنیادوں پر جاری رکھے جائیں۔
