ترجمان پولیس کے مطابق ایس ایس پی ڈسٹرکٹ سینٹرل ذیشان شفیق صدیقی نے واقعے کا نوٹس لیتے ہوئے ابتدائی طور پر متعلقہ پولیس اہلکار کو معطل کرکے محکمانہ انکوائری کا حکم دیا تھا۔
انکوائری مکمل ہونے پر پولیس اہلکار کے خلاف الزامات درست ثابت ہوئے جس پر ایس ایس پی ضلع وسطی نے اہلکار کو سروس سے فارغ (برطرف) کر دیا۔
ایس ایس پی سینٹرل کے مطابق شہریوں کے ساتھ بدتمیزی، بدسلوکی کسی صورت برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی اور محکمہ پولیس میں نظم و ضبط اور عوام کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ شہریوں کے حقوق کا تحفظ پولیس کی اولین ذمہ داری ہے اور کسی بھی بدتمیزی یا اختیارات کے ناجائز استعمال پر سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی۔
